Just dropping in on a Sunday to talk about burgers.
My brother successfully passed his GCSEs the other week, so my family asked him where he'd like to go for a celebratory meal. We'd hardly finished the sentence when he replied "Patty & Bun". So off we trotted (minus my sister as she's currently living it up in Thailand).
I loved the decoration of the place, from the cutlery served in tins and water in milk bottles, to the cardboard artwork on the walls and the hanging pendant lights with brightly coloured flexes.
And then the food arrived... no plates but this just added to the experience. Being a veggie, I cannot vouch for the meat burgers, but from the pure silence from the boys at the table as they tucked in I think they were pretty darn good...
My boyfriend ordered delicious chicken wings. The rosemary salt chips were to die for, and the veggie burger was perfect, in a delicious brioche roll, which I covered in Patty & Bun hot sauce.
To finish we had melt-in-the-mouth peanut butter and salted caramel choc ices.
I don't usually do restaurant reviews but living in London again there are so many great places that I might have to start recommending. And this is one of them! If you're going on a Saturday I suggest getting there early-ish for lunch as the queue got longer and longer as the afternoon went on, and you can't book.
